Singing to the Lord

Today, BG and I had the joy of singing with the choir during morning services.  I hope we blessed the folks listening because I sure enjoy singing. We sang this old hymn and I thought I would share it with you. The Truth is so beautiful.

I Lay My Sins on Jesus

. I lay my sins on Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God;
He bears them all, and frees us from the accursed load;
I bring my guilt to Jesus, to wash my crimson stains
White in His blood most precious, till not a stain remains.

2. I lay my wants on Jesus; all fullness dwells in Him;
He heals all my diseases, He doth my soul redeem:
I lay my griefs on Jesus, my burdens and my cares;
He from them all releases, He all my sorrows shares.

3. I rest my soul on Jesus, this weary soul of mine;
His right hand me embraces, I on His breast recline.
I love the Name of Jesus, Immanuel, Christ, the Lord;
Like fragrance on the breezes His Name abroad is poured.

4. I long to be like Jesus, strong, loving, lowly, mild;
I long to be like Jesus, the Father's holy Child:
I long to be with Jesus, amid the heavenly throng,
To sing with saints His praises, to learn the angels' song.

Growth Group

Every Tuesday night, my BG and I attend Growth Group. Some of you may call it Bible study or discipleship, but it is a group of believers who meet to study the Bible and then pray for each other. (And there is some coffee drinking and snacking invovled!)
The men pray with men and the women pray with women. I love the praying time the most. Hearing what other women give thanks for, and pray for, gives me encouragement in my walk. Being trusted to pray for their needs and hearing them pray for their blessings is such a privilege. God is so good!
